A five-day School of Pastoral Care is usually held at a conference centre and includes room and board.  In addition to the topics suggested above in the course summary, the curriculum includes presentations given by a theologian, a medical person, and a person dealing the psychological aspects of healing on a variety of other related topics.  Prayer Clinics provide "hands-on" training and practice in a safe environment for praying with others.

Time Frame  Monday after lunch to Friday after lunch or Wednesday after lunch to Sunday after lunch
Presenters Three lecturers are present who are experienced in the medical, psychological and spiritual fields of the healing ministry.
Lectures Twelve to fifteen lectures are presented by the 3 leaders in the areas of their expertise.   All 3 lecturers present topics that cover the major areas presented by the Sanfords when schools were first introduced.

An Advanced School of Pastoral Care is usually held at a retreat centre for 5 days and includes room and board.  This school is custom designed for a group of persons who have experienced other Schools of Pastoral Care and wish to pursue in-depth teaching on particular aspects of the healing ministry.  An Advanced School may, for example, be dedicated to the many aspects of the Healing of Memories and all lectures would deal with that specific topic for a deeper understanding of God’s operation in this area.

Time Frame

Monday after lunch to Friday after lunch or Wednesday after lunch to Sunday after lunch

Presenters Three lecturers are present who are experienced in the medical, psychological and spiritual fields of the healing ministry.
Lectures Fifteen lectures are given divided evenly amongst the 3 lecturers.  Each presenters covers one topic which would be expanded and clarified in depth over 5 lectures, thereby giving a much greater in-depth appreciation of 3 topics.   It is assumed those attending have either attended the introductory school or have knowledge and experience of the basic curriculum.

EXPECTATIONS

Those who attend can anticipate increasing their individual awareness of the spiritual powers inherent in the teachings of the New Testament.  Special attention is given to the development and integration of one’s own individual wholeness of body, mind and spirit.

Healing is a collaborative ministry involving all members of the body of Christ, rather than only the work of a few specific individuals, no matter how gifted the individual may be.
