Going Deeper Weekend Training

The weekend training event is a time of drawing closer to Jesus, and the opportunity of hands-on training for OSL Members in a safe environment.  Although previous study is not required to attend the weekend, if you have been reading about or studying teaching materials, the weekend will be a time to experience practical applications.  Training for praying with others is more often "caught" than taught.  Seasoned leaders will instruct and guide participants through a series of small group "hands-on" activities to practice praying with one another in a safe and comfortable place. 

When planning a Going Deeper Weekend, local issues and concerns are always addressed*.

Your planning team, in discussion with weekend leadership, will select appropriate topics for your training event from the following list:  

  • Developing a Prayer Team
  • Discernment:  What is Of God and What Is Not
  • Healing of Memories or Inner Healing
  • Forgiveness: Pathway to Peace
  • Issues of Discernment
  • Deepening Our Prayer Life
  • To Heal As Jesus Healed (A Biblical Study)
  • The Prayer of Faith
  • What If We Don't Get Well?
  • The Church As A Healing Community
  • Prayer, Medicine and Sacraments
  • Spiritual Direction
  • *other topics may be added.
